The Plains Rat, or Plains Mouse, or Eastern Mouse, or Palyoora (Pseudomys australis), is a threatened rodent species native to Australia.
Plains rats can be kept in captivity in New South Wales by purchasing a license from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
